Wow! My favorite subject! I was named after the Kim's, a Korean Family at Wilshire Christian Church in Los Angeles. Grew up in Altadena and Pasadena. Came home from school in 1955 crying because everybody called me Kim Novak. My Mom made me read Kim by Rudyard Kipling to convince me that Kim was indeed a boys name.

Whenever I went to Church Camp (in my formative years) I was always assigned to a Girls Cabin! I never said anything until we were sent to our cabins to hit the sack. It always created Chaos. I always did have disruptive behavior. Did this for years! What a racket.

In 1961 I received 9 letters from girl "Pen Pals" from Japan. This was nice, I was a stamp collector. But, I never did write them back, I didn't want to explain it nine times. I really regret not writing back. Wish I had email then!

Most recent episode of credit card mix-up: COSTCO gas pumps, attendant says "Hey! This isn't your card..." after I showed him my ID he says "What in the hell am I sayin'? MY name is Marion!...and so is John Wayne's!"

Always received unsolicited mail from NOW, ABWA, Soap Opera Magazine, Leggs, Victoria's Secret....Hey! I'm not complaining! Graduated from High School with fellow Kim Bottles.

Delighted that Kim Bottles showed me this site! Saw an interview/profile with Kim Novak in 2001. She is still Absolutely Fabulous! She should be our page mascot!
